Leveler change out?

Hello - My Power Gear leveler assembly pump motor is shot. As it is 20 years old I have been unable to find a direct replacement, so I ordered a new assembly (tank and all) from Lippert (bought out power gear) on Nov 4. Was to be delivered by Dec 1st, then Dec 16th now told still waiting on parts for them to build. The assembly is $2400.

Has anyone changed out the levelers in their rig to a different brand/manufacturer? Wondering how difficult it maybe to do so and what is the expense.

A bigfoot jack system is around $4100, plus install. The install kit is about 1250.00

My last verbal quote from HWH was “about $6K” two years ago. I'm sure prices have changed since then.

It probably depends on what you are swapping out, some use double acting hydraulic rams, though most use single acting rams with retraction springs. If you are reusing the old rams make sure the new systems operates the same, some mount the return solenoids at the pumps, some mount at the cylinders, etc.
