Question Leveler's

On my 2017 holiday rambler when I go to put the jacks down, I get a parking brake not down light on. Even though the parking brake is on. After turning the ignition on and off several times, along with recycling the leveler on and off the light will go out and the jacks will start down. Where should I begin to look for the problem?

Does the park brake light come on when you apply it? I would think that the same signal is used for the leveling system. If that works, start looking for a loose wire/connector.

The switch on the parking brake could just need adjusting.

I agree with adjusting switch and checking for bad connection. Might try moving wires around instead of on/off with switch, may help locate a bad connection.

about 90 percent of intermittent operation is from loose or corroded connections.
thats the first thing i start checking when i work on a coach that has problems like you describe. start with the two bolts that hold the pump assembly to the mounting bracket. that the main hwh ground. silly, you say? there are thousands of hwh pumps that work just fine with that ground set up.
if it persist, disconnect the battery supply cable on the master relay. connect a good battery using jumper cables. this isolates the hwh system from the rest of the coach.
if the hwh system works, then the problem is on the coach, not the hwh system.
please feel free to call me if you need help.

i work full time for hwh corp. i do not sell parts or solicit service work on this forum.

Levelers

The ground from the motor to the frame is good. If I leave the ignition key in the on position for several minutes the "emergency brake not down light on the HWH" will go out and the jacks work just fine.
Still puzzled

Also, the mh is a 2007 and not a 2017. Sorry.

My old f53 gasser did the same thing. Was the parking brake switch since if i fiddled with the parking brake pedal with my foot it would suddenly work fine.
An intermittent problem. Sold the rv before i fixed it.
