License plate light
Not sure where to post this query. Is the license plate light from a 2015 Meridian 40R specific to Winnebago, or was it sourced from the general automotive supply somewhere?

Very few if any lights are specific to an RV manufacturer because they don't want the expense of going through DOT approval. They are taken from cars or truck already being manufactured. I replaced the licence plate lights on my rig and found the exact replacement at O'Reilly's for $12.

If you're talking about the bulb, it's available from many sources. As to the rest of the fixture, low volume suggests it's not a custom part. Remove the unit and check the back for identifying information, Google it, and it will probably turn up.
Or...contact Winnebago, they keep pretty good information about components they use in their products, they'll probably share the information.

Believe it or not, my 2002 HR Rear License Plate Light was a part from Mercedes Benz.
They do not make them any more and found a used one at a Benz repair shop here in Denver.
They just gave it to me.
Go figure.
