I have never used this company.
I ordered from this company and had no issues, I really love those batteries never have to worry about putting water in them, or they over spilling in the storage compartment. Regards

Hey all. Thanks for the help. Have ordered from SEP industries. A lot of hassle. Site kept blocking my card due to PayPal decline. I wasn't using PayPal just a credit card. Calling SEP was a waste of time. Can't talk to a human and no response to messages. Finally fraud alerts from my bank and credit card company. Cleared that up. Last order went through fine. It should not be this hard and frustrating to try to give money to a company. Maybe some of these companies should look a Amazon's website. Lifeline was great at answering questions and making sure I had the right batteries. Installing them will require less hassle and time than buying them.

Lot's of places take old batteries. In fact, Auto Zone paid me to take a few I had lying around when we sold our house. In fact, I jokingly mentioned that a guy could make a living rounding up old batteries and the clerk told me they have several guy that do just that.

I don't think they actually make a living but they probably get a lot of free auto parts with all those gift cards.

Have wet cell batteries for 4 years now and only topped up 3x. I certainly don't worry about it? But then again I read on these forums how people will spend thousands to make their motorhome handle like a sports car which by the way will never be the case. I have come to the conclusion after many years on forums from pull trailer to 5th wheel to our stock from the factory motorhome that there are too many fear monger,s on these forums . Perhaps they all work for the aftermarket sellers. Just my 2cents.

By the way I will be installing a dry battery in my Seadoo only because of the jarring it takes, pita to get at it, and acid spilling out due to the abuse the battery takes.

My first job out of High School was at a plant that Manufactured batteries. I observed then that the only difference in batteries besides price is the color and name on the case. They are all the same inside. The main problem with vehicle batteries is they are rarely allowed to fully discharge and are usually on charge. We also tend to totally ignore them unless we have issues. A loose connection, build up of corrosion, loss of electrolyte, etc., can lead to early failure. Exercise the battery by using it. Service it regularly.

Thanks to all

Lifeline batteries are on the way. As far as the old batteries we have an excellent county recycle land field in Henderson county so the batteries will be taken care in a responsible way. As to other comments on cost and waste of money- money not an issue and my nearly 70 year old butt is looking to simplify maintenance. If conditions change I could go back to tent camping and be happy. Be happy and enjoy every sunrise.

dezolen,
Don't think I was spreading fear. Just ask for advice and received a lot of help. Hopefully see you down the road and drink a cold one and share some laughs. Gary

Everybody has their own viewpoint and circumstances, but to me it is well worth the extra cost to have a battery that you can simply forget about. I have owned my coach for over four years and have never touched my AGM batteries in that time. With the exception of a little road dust, they are as clean as the day they were installed. They are not something I even have to think about. These coaches have enough to maintain and easing that maintenance burden is worth a lot to me.

This is without even considering the other advantages of AGM such as faster charging (less generator running) and longer life.

I went to the Lifeline Batteries for all the reasons listed, but also for the increased amperage. My six 6CT's give me 900 amps for dry camping. That's a 35% increase over the 660 amps the wet cells. Longer service and quicker charge.

We spend the winter in Key Largo now but have stayed in multiple places over the years. Where is Wellington?

Wellington is near West Palm Beach and is about 75 miles north of Miami.
