Living Area Ceiling Lights Not Working

2003 Fleetwood Discovery 39L
My husband and I replaced the 4 house batteries. We took a picture before removing the old ones so we would know how to wire up the new ones. Once replaced, I went inside, turn on the aux batteries and the 2 ceiling lights in the living area blew. We adjusted the wiring on the batteries and everything works except those 2 lights. I replaced the bulbs, but they did not work. I ordered new ballasts for each of them and replaced 1 last weekend. The wiring is all as it needs to be but the light still doesn’t work. I have read in a couple of places that it could be a fuse. We have checked fuses in the bedroom at the base of the bed, in the center of the dash and in the battery compartment. We cannot see that any fuses are bad. I feel certain it is something simple or another fuse panel that we cannot locate. Would love to hear from anyone who has had this issue or can provide guidance.

Welcome to iRV2.

Sorry your first post is about problems .
Were you inspecting the fuses or testing them ?

The best way to test fuses is with a volt meter or a 12 volt test light , cracks in the fuse material can be so small as not to be visible .
Also testing for power to the switch with either, meter or light , will tell you if there is a fuse panel you haven't located .

I'll add more here , in case your reading my first post,

Do you have other fixtures that you can transfer the tubes into to test them?

Thanks! I will check fuses with a meter tomorrow. I’m just not 100% sure which fuse controls these 2 lights. All other 12V lights in the living area are working.
I did test the tubes in other fixtures and they worked, so the problem continues to appear to be isolated to these 2 fixtures.

I check for power at the fixture when it was wired up. I have since disconnected it and will check to see if these is power in the ceiling wires tomorrow.

Hi ! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined us!

What do you mean when you say that you "adjusted the wiring on the batteries"? How were they wired before you made the change?

I would suggest that you create a signature showing the make and model of your RV. It will help folks to answer questions you may have in the future.

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

I tested the fuses and the wires from the ceiling and they show active. Purchased a new fixture and it worked. I must have had the ballast installed incorrectly. Thanks for the help here.
