We have a loan through Essex. Is the interest a bit higher? Maybe but they're financing a full time rig with more assumed risk. It beats lying to a bank and possibly having them call in the loan due to fraud.

As far as the house, we had a lease on an apartment. We explained the situation and it wasn't a big deal. When the loan went to the underwriters, it went with a few extra pieces of paper explaining the situation. We qualified even with the rent payment so it wasn't hard for them to approve us knowing the lease was up several days before we took delivery. Essex will work with you and they are very helpful.

Not sure if this applies to you or not. We used a Credit Union to buy our last three motorhomes. We only financed the last two for 18 months and they allowed annual payments. Two years ago we bought a home in Lake Havasu, AZ. We had a loan approved, but instead went to the cash value of our life insurance. It only required a signature and payments were whatever and whenever I wanted to pay. The interest was a point higher, but it's paid off now so it didn't amount to much and was much more convenient than a normal loan process. Might be an option for you. I'm not sure if it even showed up on a credit report.

I could make so many analogies coming on a chat forum and asking for very serious financial advice. So many variables for you and options of how things could work out really great, or conversely, really, really wrong. I have no doubt that everyone is being honest with their opinion and thoughts, but as with many things, it is way more fact dependent and the facts have a way of changing and making your goal a moving target.

We have our plans and our targets, but both keep moving. The closer we get, the better the sight picture.
