Locating the inverter in a 2002 Alpha See Ya 40

I know it may sound stupid, but I absolutely cannot find the inverter/charger location in this Alpha that I just purchased.

Does anyone on here have any experience in this field?

The AC works perfect on shore AC supply, but will not do anything when the generator is running and the shore power unplugged.

Go to the coach batteries and follow the cables back to the inverter. Most manufacturers install the inverter/charger very close to the batteries for efficiency and cost savings (cable lengths).

Welcome to iRV2.

Nothing operating form gen set power , would indicate an possible issue with a ATS ( Automatic Transfer Switch ) rather than the inverter .

If it’s original it was probably a Xantrex. Meaning probably a green colour. Agree that it’s a good idea to follow the battery cables back.

I think its in an access panel in the kitchen area, I remember seeing one in that spot one time...its not in a conspicuous place ...I just can't recall the exact location but the one I saw was accessed from inside the coach. Maybe an alpha owner will chime in ...
