Looking for a stopover on 270 between Potomac & Frederick MD

Looking for a stop over site along I 270 between Potomac and Fredrick MD. Does anyone have any experience? Just looking to pull in, hook up, and leave in the morning. Traveling from Myrtle Beach SC to Wilkes Barre PA via 270 and rt 15. Thanks!

This is not your targeted between Potomac and Frederick, but depending on your routing... there is an excellent Americamps in Ashland, VA just on the north side of Richmond (Richmond Virginia RV Resort - Americamps RV Resort). It's Exit 89 off of I-95, right at the top of the ramp, the next immediate right, and about 3/4 mile down the road. It's a great full service campground with good prices, but the only problem is that you will still have to tackle the DC area traffic after your rest.

Wal*Mart - work?

Walmart Supercenter 2233 in Frederick Maryland

Also a Small long term Camp site behind the Lowes in Frederick

Evergreen Point Village - Evergreen Point Village

Three night minimum so they may not work - not a lot out his way as the dirt $$$$$ is just too high.

BOL,

Thanks everyone for your help. We have decided on Americamps in Ashland VA. Its only about 15 minutes out of our way. Thanks again!!

There is a county park, Little Bennett Regional Park near Hyattstown but no hookups.

For future reference (all are within 30 miles of Frederick):
- Woodbine, MD - Ramblin' Pines
- Hagerstown, MD several places to choose from including a KOA and a Jellystone
-Gettysburg, PA has lots of camping
- Harpers Ferry, WV - KOA

Frederick (City and County) has no camping other than the Walmarts or Evergreen Point (which I really can't recommend).
