I use a standard Captain's chair I got at Costco back oh, about 2003 or 4

It is wider than the regular ones you get everywhere so it does not hang on what's in my pocket when I get up. Has a side table too.

We have a set of name brand chairs that we leave at home!
Find the Harbor Freight ones more comfortable!
They run them on sale for under $20

Looking for good camping chairs

Haven’t read the whole thread but check out Cliq Chairs. They are awesome! They aren’t zero gravity recliners but they are the best for what they are. https://www.cliqproducts.com

Oh and btw, the cheap camping chairs, and possibly nicer ones, have the worst toxicity of just about any product that’s made today.

This is a 2.5 year old post. We bought a pair of the Timber Ridge chairs mentioned earlier in this post. We've been using them for over two years. They're great chairs and hold up to the stress of a big person (me). The front legs are adjustable which is great for sitting on a beach or uneven terrain. They fold up flat and recline. Notice, there is no front bar under the thighs which is often a point of discomfort.

StrongBack Chairs...Period. Only camping chair I have found that provides very good lumbar support. The chair is also very well made and wide enough so you don’t feel cramped.

My wife is very particular about portable/camping chairs.... she gets uncomfortable quickly in the types she's tried...

I saw the StrongBack chair and tried one for her.... she LOVES it...!!

It's the only portable chair she'll use now.... and she says it's the most comfortable camping/folding chair she has ever used...

Costco sells a great quality gravity chair. We paid $70 Canadian each. They only carry them each spring. The brand is Timberland or something close. Great value.
