Looking for “Manufacturers Manuals“

I recently aquired a 1990 Sterling Adelphian which had been stored for at least 4 years. I was able to find an owners manual online, but when reading the directions for starting things like the generator, heater, hot water heater, etc. the manual says to refer to the manufacturer's guide for starting instructions. I'm wondering if anyone might have a manufacturer's guide. Or maybe the different systems are pretty standard and I might be able to use an alternate manual? I am a newbie to owning a MH and on this forum, so any advice or suggestions would be much appreciated.

Hi mdeluna. Welcome to the forum.

When it refers to "manufacturer's guides," what that means is that each appliance or component will have its own manual. In other words, there is no ONE generic manufacturer's guide that pertains exclusively to your particular coach.

For instance, the "manufacturer's guide" for your generator would be the individual owner's manual or instruction guide for that particular model of generator ...i.e. if you have a Onan model #xxxx, you'd want to find the Onan manual for that particular model.

Same for the water heater, or furnace, or microwave, or inverter, or awning, etc., etc. You'd want to go online and look for those specific manuals.

Most motorhome manufacturers will include those manuals in their "bag of manuals" but since you purchased your rig used and the former owner did not include that "bag of manuals," then you'd have to do your own research and find them individually yourself either online or by writing to the manufacturer of the particular item/component and request one if you'd like a hard copy of their manual.

Let us know if you need help in looking up those individual manuals and perhaps somebody here on the forum can give you a hand in finding them.

I must have 50 paper manuals and 40 pdf files. Google manufacturer, usually under support, or contact us use model no.
Oh by the way I read them.... surprising how much you'll learn and can avoid problems and expenses.

You can find a lot of the info you are looking for right here, go to the top, see the blue bar, with user CP, register, "FILES", click on the files, and see what you can find? Hope this helps? Rail!
