Looking to buy

Hello Looking for advice on getting into the RV world . Am interested in a Class A . Retired trucker of 36+ years ,so no problem with driving one .

Looking at inexpensive to start to see how much i like it .
Waiting on a trade in coming to FLA 1997 WINNEBAGO ADVENTURER 34WQ cummings 5.9 80K on it $ 14K . Like the idea of a DP .

When it comes in . If this one is still available in GA @ Camp world i will swing by to look at on the way to FLA . i am in NC . 1998 FLEETWOOD BOUNDER 34P 24K miles . Saleswoman said "Think its a Ford " It was in the shop getting brakes ,that's why it went from $11600 to $13699 Yikes did not like that . Sure i could do the brakes myself way cheaper . Besides look like a Chevy steering wheel in it . Like Chevys better
Stock # 2170622
Sale Price
$13,699
Thanks in advance for any and all advice

Welcome to our Campfire!

Also a retired driver after 50 years of watching bugs go splat..
FIRST!!!!!!!!!
HAVE AN INSPECTOR AT THE READY.. BEFORE You put down any funds, Get it INSPECTED!!!
SECOND!!! AVOID CAMPING WORLD/GANDER AT ALL COSTS! [I Learned a $9,000 "Lesson" from them and their shop the hard way...NEVER AGAIN!]

These RV's ARE NOT built and cared for like a car or pickup..
You can easily tie up an additional $20k to $50 k fixing things that You did not know were bad until AFTER You Bought. [Tires.Roof replacements, De-Lamination, furnace/AC/Water & tank issues the list is never ending it seems..]
sending PM.

What He said. ^^^^^^ More often than not on something that age, the purchase price might just be the start of it's true cost. I would also be Leary coming from Camping World. They do not have the best reputation dealing in used coaches.

Yes i got that impression right from the start about CW . They say they lowered the price ,when in fact they raised it 2 grand . How about Optimum RV ? Hear anything about them ? Of course i don't trust/ believe anything a salesman says . Thanks
