Looking to get a Propane
propane is a fire issue here.. and I would have to travel to get it and because it's sooooo cold...I would go through my tank in 24 hours...I also heat my bed with hot water bottles... I use little electricity cuz I don't want to blow my power ...
As I sit here in my RV, waiting for someone to turn the "air condotioner" off outside, this is what is going through my mind:

Hmmm? Well it’s either using gasoline or diesel for a generator. Paying a lot more for electricity. Winterizing the rig and taking an apartment or moving South for the winter. Hmmm!

First off, welcome to the forum!
Check to see if there is a propane company who will deliver in your area. Depending upon where you are parked, you might be able to rent a larger propane tank and get it delivered less frequently and much cheaper. There are also high efficiency electric heaters that don't require that much power. Check Walmart or your local Big Box for options.
Be sure to keep your pipes from freezing!

"Propane is a fire hazard"? No more so then gasoline or any other flammable vapor.
Overloaded extension cords? Now there's a fire hazard.

just wondering what the reason is for no lock on the propane door? I was thinking of adding one so tank Is this a safety issue?

Good to hear your issue was resolved. Since you mentioned it, DON'T add a lock to any door to a propane compartment.

Laws require a non locking compartment door on the propane door to allow emergency access.

The lock is not there so first responders can turn off the propane supply in the event of an accident.
