Low coolant fault

I have a 2018 HR Navigator 38K with 12000 miles and now it just set the low coolant fault at least it was in my yard when it happened, coolant looks good vehicle is still running strong. Checked with 24/7 Direct they said take it in but since there is a possibility that it could shutdown with this fault going to try and fix it myself because its at least 100 miles to any shop. I ordered a KYS-5022-02185-06 sensor to replace (very hard to find). I also need to check wiring at plug anyone know what voltage should be there. I will keep you posted on my findings.

Is it very hard to get to ? Looks like its just an insulated rod and base is the ground . Device or ECM looks for electrical path through coolant . Anyway it may be dirty/fouled causing more resistance / Clean it with coarse steel wool or fine stainless wire brush. If it works save a spare.

Mine faulted last year, coolant tank was full. I stopped by Freightliner and they checked it, (sensor is on side of coolant tank) said sensor needed to be replaced, but didn't have one in stock. They overnighted it and we were on our way the next day by noon.

The funny part, after they finished their diagnosis, we moved the coach to the back of their lot to spend the night. When I started the coach, the dash light went out. It was more than likely a glitch, but I had them replace it since we were already there. I'm guessing yours will go out after 5-7 starts after it has run five minutes or more after each start (reset of erroneous dash lights).

Installed the new sensor and topped off reservoir tank. Hooked up my NexLink NL102P and tried to clear fault it said "The trouble code would not be successfully cleared before the malfunctions were fixed. Please fix it and try again." I was pretty upset that it was still bad so I shut her down and figured I had to take it in.
Hooked up my PDI back to the OBD port and did something wrong so shut it down again. Made sure everything was connected properly this time and fired it up again, all looked good and then I noticed check engine light and Low coolant fault was gone not sure why my reader would not clear the fault but glad its gone. I did compare both sensors and both Ohmed out the same 460 ohms. Power at connector read 0 volts DC so I tried AC and had 5 VAC? I have another sensor on order to carry as a spare. I really need to get some manuals on this thing. Anyone have any sources?

Not 100% sure, but many of the sensors on the Monaco tanks were a Ford sensor and very easy to get.
