I go right through overhanging branches. I have two A/C's, two roof vents, two FM antennas, one OTA antenna and a Winegard Trav'ler up top - not one has been adversely impacted. If there is no double yellow lines/island and I can see clearly that there is no oncoming traffic I will swerve into the opposing lane only as much as necessary. My oversized vehicle is not other peoples problem - it's mine.

Here is what I will "tell" I would do. Drive around if possible, avoid at all costs or stop and cut them to save the coach. Here is what I actually did, Drive through and tore a horn off which I had to remount and reseal. Ugh.........

On my street, I called the county and they had me fill out a form online.

They told me they have to respond to all formal requests to prune branches.

Took several months, but they raised the canopy on my street and another one I use frequently.

If I can, I'll drive on the other side. If I can't, I drive through and add the damage to the list of things to be repaired by the body shop.

We live in rural New England. Just getting down our road to the highway is 1,500 feet of swinging extreme left and right to avoid branches in homeowner's trees. The road is the town's responsibility, but the trees aren't. At some point, if I want to bring the coach home I'll have to pay to trim my neighbor's trees. In the meantime, my wife goes ahead in the toad and acts as a "scout" to let me know if it's safe to be on the incorrect side of the road at several points. Such is life in "tax-free New Hampshire!"

Trees may start on private property but once they enter my yard or public space they are fair game. No legal issues at all. Some believe once they plant a tree or bush they no longer need to address it. Wrong.

I go around them. If that's not possible then its certainly slow going that way if they do scratch they'll likely be on surface scratches which can be buffed off.
