Sounds like your converter (AKA charger) is not working.

Look for a tripped circuit breaker.

Mine were like that on 50 amps- even the frig could blink and no light when door opened. I do a lot of boondocking, and I ran my batteries to 0 too many times. I would run the coach ( genset out at time,) and get some dim lights. Forget the awning!
Just installed 2 new 12 V Trojan batteries and a 100 watt solar panel ( more to come.) Of course it has been cloudy and rainy for weeks, but the batteries are staying at full charge on a very old 30 amps, with a 15 adapter!

Do you have anything else running (a/c's, fridge, WH, etc)? Were the lights bright but now getting dim? Have you checked the breaker at the 50amp pedestal? Could be that simple. I think there is a switch or breaker (?) In the compartment where your power cord is located. You could check that also. Sorry, wish I was more help. I know how frustrating it can be trying to problem solve all the quirks of a MH. Hang in there - its well worth it when you are out adventuring!

Make sure you have the DC charger in the on position on your inverter panel. You need to put power in to get it out. If not you池e going to run your battery痴 down.

Look for a circuit breaker marked CONV.

That's the power converter and needs to be on.

your converter is not outputting 12 volt power. if it was the lights would not be dim. possible things to check:
is shore pedestal providing power on both legs
do you have shore power on both legs at distribution panel
is converter breaker on (flip is off and back on)
are converter reverse polarity fuses blown

do you have two a/c units? if you do they will be on both legs of shore power. do they both come on? if they do you have shore power on both legs of the distribution panel. if this is the case the problem is either the circuit breaker for the converter, the converter reverse polarity fuses, or the converter itself. could also possible be a loose 12 volt cable after the converter.

Hi Tony! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined us!

I would suspect one of three things, bad converter, shorted cells in batteries, or breaker tripped. Have you checked the water level in the batteries?

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

Well if you are plugged into 50 amp and it is showing on the voltmeter that you are only getting 7.8 volts then I would say that your invertor/charger is not charging at all and your house batteries have weakened down to 7.8 volts. Check your invertor and see if it has not tripped the circuit breaker.
