M-3601 FRTLNR Georgie Boy ?

anyone know anything about this motorhome?
2000 M-3601 FRTLNR

A 2000 georga boy M-3601 FRTLNR. motorhome.

I got T boned and the insurance co is trying to get me to total my motorhome. at this point I don't know what to do.
I bought my motorhome (1999 coachman 34 foot catilina) put nearly $3000 repairs in it paid $25000 They want to give me $15000; what a ripoff. a guy just smaked into my side.

I think the georga boy has a frieghtliner chassis but I know nothing about freightliner. I'm open for thoughts.

My suggestion is that you get the NADA pricing. It lists the unit as roughly$39K low retail and $47K high retail, depending on the features that you have.

My Credit Union has the NADA books. Most banks should as well.

I found out these chassis have an air bag suspenson; I wonder what the life of these air bags are? high dollar replacements would turn me away from this motorhome.
I believe I can get this motorhome for 25K which would be a very good price. but the air bags worry me.

This was the first trip for me with this motorhome; I haven't driven this motorhome 250 miles total.

Robert, the next time you head down the interstate and a tractor trailer passes you look at the rear duals on the trailer. Most of the trailers now are supported by air bags and even some tractors use them. They may have 80k lbs supported by 4 air bags.
What's the weight of your MH? Don't even worry about the air bags!

Robert;

2000 Georgie Boy 3601 Landau Diesel Pusher, Freightliner XCS chassis. 22000lb GVWR, 26000 GCWR. Probably does not have air bags. In 2000 had leaf spring suspension, for a short period in 2002-3 some did have optional air suspension. XCS was smaller version of the XC chassis. Comparison here... http://www.giantrvonline.com/chassis/freightliner02.htm

Normally powered by Cummins ISB diesel at 260 or 275 horsepower. Expect 10.5 to 11 mpg. Allison 1000 5 speed auto transmission. The Georgie Boy normally came with 22.5 inch tires..
Landau has good standard features and appliances. You can get a rough idea here.. http://www.rv.kamloops.com/georgiebo...ndau/index.htm
That only shows info on the gas models The Landau Diesel models were 3601 and 3602.
Hope this helps.
