Made the move!

We are now the proud "parents" of a 2007 34' Winnebago Itasca Sunova. We moved up from our 29' 5th wheel. We've had the 5'r for about 7 years but have been toying with the idea that a motor home might be a better choice for us going into retirement, next year.

We truly enjoyed our 5'r and the coach looks to be a good buy and I just hope that we made the right move. I guess time will tell when we start snowbirding and fulfill my bucket list trip to Alaska.

Congrats to your new purchase, we've recently bought a MH also and plan to full fill some road trips as soon as my wife retires. Snowbirds are what we intend to be with it.

You'll love the ease of destination setup compared to the 5'r and the access to stuff while underway. Now that we are all getting older that matters. At least to us it does. I'd love to bucket list Alaska too but my wife is very resistant to the idea. I keep telling her, "remember honey, happy husband, happy life". She still hasn't veered from her opinion. Well see....!

"empty_nest"......Congrats.....now get out there and burn some fuel while it's cheap.

"marjoa"....Have you ever done an Alaskan Cruise? I debated for years about a trip to Alaska. Take our previous coach and than buy a new one when we got back, or sell the old one and buy a new one for the trip. I was afraid of the damage that might be done to the coach. In between my mental debate, we did a seven day cruise and four day land tour. After that, I really didn't see the need to RV Alaska (personal opinion). What I would do now, is fly there for a couple of weeks and stay in an area or two that good for sightseeing with a rental car.
