Maiden Voyage
Leaving tomorrow morning on our first trip in the Winnebago Sightseer. I hope everything is loaded and nothing tears up. Probably not the best idea for a maiden voyage but we will be pulling the 16' trailer with the M/C inside. May try to talk the wife into leaving tonight and staying at a campground about an hour and a half away. Wish me luck!

Just make sure everything is secure and you're good to go! Enjoy your first trip! It's a feeling you won't be able to repeat. We pulled a motorcycle behind ours for many years. It was a great way to spend a weekend or a vacation. You probably will have to check the mirrors every once in a while to remind yourself that you're pulling the trailer, you'll hardly even notice it's back there.

Good luck and have a safe trip. Remember you never have a fist time a second time. So enjoy the maiden one.

Return from the maiden voyage
Everything went fairly well. Had an issue with a turn signal going out which led to replacing a corroded socket which turned into replacing both. $7.00 at O'reilly's and I was good to go. Had to fight a hellacious cross wind on the way up. Zapped my gas mileage to 5 MPG. Best mileage was 9 MPG. We had never slept on the bed and damned if it wasn't more comfortable that the one in our bedroom.

Good on’ya!!
Congratulations on success on your first trip. We had our initial voyage just last August. Took our rig, with toad, from SF Wine Country to Olympia, WA. Had a great time. Found a couple of minor problems, nothing major. We also found our bed as comfortable as at home. Toad pulled like a dream. Took Hwy 5 up, came back down the Oregon and CA coasts on 101 (narrow, lots of up/down). Feel like an “intermediate” driver now- sure I’ll face new situations while driving, but feel confident I can figure them out.
FWIW, if you make a ‘signature” for your posts, we’ll all know more about your rig.

Congrats on a successful trip. It is always good to get that first one under your belt. We leave for our "maiden" voyage this weekend with our new rig.

Sounds like you had a fairly successful trip. We found out years ago that it always seemed like we slept better in the MH.
