Major rv electrical problem
Please help...
We ha e a 07 fleetwooddiscovery, we had a power surge and now the slides are not getting power, we are stuck with them open and can not manually retract the full wall slide. We have had 2 techs come out with no luck, they are saying the slide motors are not getting power...any help would be appreciated. You can reach me at 7578796575 if you think you can help.
Thanks, Marsha

Transmission in neutral, parking brake set, Engine off or on as applicable.
Switch near entrance needs to be cycled on.
Slides are 12 volts.
Try pushing the emergency start button to combine the battery banks. Will need two people of course or prop the switch if possible.
Some safety interlock keeping them from operating??
Two techs? What did they say?

This seems to stem from a power surge we had on Sunday and 1/2 the coach house power was working, the inverter was reset and the house power worked fine. Today trying to leave to return home the slides will not go in, we have a bedroom slide with 1 motor and a full wall slide with 3 motors. 1 tech said we needed to find the reset button for the slides but no one can find it. We are still stuck and the motors still have no power. We cant manually retract the full wall as we cant get to the manual retract.

Post a picture of your control panel. I am sure someone will have information on it.

Here is a quick reference as an example.

Another example.
I put "slide out control" in the little green google search box above to the right.

Hi Marsha! Sure sorry about your slideout problem. Hopefully someone familiar with your rig can help.
Just a suggestion. You should invest in a Progressive Industries EMS series protection unit. You probably wouldn't be going through this problem if you had one.

Why can't you get to the emergency retract? Can't be much of a system if you can't access what you need in an emergency!

We can not get to the manual retract on the full wall slide, it has 3 motors and the rear one is not accessible without taking the rear tires off. 2007 Fleetwood Discovery 39V

They have now "jumped" all 3 motors which provided power to get the slide in but the slide locks are not engaging.

Cut some 2x4's and wedge them between the slide and wall.
