I figure if we go thru it it counts. Some states just aren't big enough to stay in
We do try stay in every state but when you are traveling thru those small states or states when you only cut the corner of to get to some place else it's hard to do. there are some states we have stayed in but used the dingy to get to another state, Four Corners is great example, sleep in one state but put foot in 4 different ones.

X2. Doesn't have to be in a single RV. I consider that the map is transferable.

If the RV tires were in the state, I claim that the state was visited.

Your map, your rules.

Our view is to spend 3 consecutive nights in the state before adding that state to the map. Too many one-nighters while passing through to count them as real in my opinion. Considered 2 nights but wanted to ensure we actually did something in the state (like exploring) and 2 night stays tend to be rest days.

We cruised to hi I think that counts it was just someone else’s rv (on water)
So the 750K in a class 8 with a sleeper I get all the lower 48?

Our rule is we have to spend a night before we get to put up a sticker. DW and I have been to all states several times on business, or on many road trips before we met, but the map is only for the RV. I’ve also crossed the country 4 times by MC. On one bike trip I rode the entire length of US 6, from P-town to Bishop. Don’t ask. It was the 70s. It seemed like a good idea at the time.

+1 Camper has to be there at least over night. Open the Atlas to the US map, I try to stay left of the staples, I do stray on occasion.
