What breaker do you change ? You still need a double breaker to get 240 volts.
You change the breaker on the circuit you need 240v to. Just like in a house. If you have a 50 amp camper, you have two legs of 120v coming in. Simple breaker makes it 240v. No neutral needed for 240v. Just wire with black and white legs hot. I always put black tape on white wire

Good point. I just asked my wife about that. She cuts the sheets in half. Not sure if she figured that out or it’s on the package, but when draining the grey tank after a wash session, it’s not all sudsy. I dump it before and after a washing session as part of my tank management plan. I don’t do the laundry, but I do manage the tanks and watch what comes out of them as part of that.

Washer/dryer

Mine are full residential size stackables. I absolutely love them and they do a great job. Almost wish I wasn't selling my RV.

We have traveled in our 1999 Discovery for the past 16 years. It came with a
Splendidi combo washer dryer which was and is vented to the outside.
No room for stacked units.
However, would not be without the unit. It makes life in the rv so much
more comfortable. No need to find a laundrymat. Just put the wash in
the unit and let it do its job.
Life is good.

Doesn't your breaker need to have 2 120v bus bars? And I believe per the NEC you need a neutral. Old school dryers, water heaters and stoves did not have a neutral but not anymore.

Right, today's 240 appliances often use 120 volt timers and motors.

Ground is not a current carrying conductor, so a neutral is needed.

Actually no. There is only 3 lines coming into a service. 2 hot, 1 ground. Neutral is created in service panel. You can go to any home supply store and buy 3 prong 240v plugs. Only in 120v is neutral used to return current.

Looking for understanding:

When looking at this washer and dryer I see the Westland and Ariston names in addition to the Splendide tag.

Google said Westland makes the Splendide, so who/ what is Ariston?

Appears Westland is parent company of the manufacturer, Splendide, and Ariston is the space saving model most associated with RV/Marine applucations.

our washer/ dryer follow-up

So we've now used this equipment 6-8 times; I'm very pleased with how quiet they are. If it weren't for the occasional vibrations of the spin cycles I wouldn't even know one was onboard.

Perhaps I should'a ensured my rear jacks stayed down (for some reason they both came up off the ground); fronts are touching.

We went with Tide HE (with Downy April Fresh) detergent.

Merry Christmas n Happy New Year.
