Mice

Does anyone have any suggestions for winter storage defense against mice taking up residence in our RV? We had some damage by mice last winter and want to be prepared for this winter. Thanks!

Traps, moth balls and bait. Put them out as soon as the weather turns cold. The little buggers are looking for a nice warm place to spend the winter.

We found "Mouse Magic" works well. We got at a farm-garden-pets center. Also oil of mint on cotton balls seems to work. If you have had damage you need traps too!

!st off make sure you have all food supply removed from coach. This includes such things as: toothpaste, soap and shampoo bottles. I use the electronic units that you plug in if have access to AC. I also spread "bounce" dryer sheets throughout the coach and in each storage compartments. You can spread critter away around the outside perimeter of the MH but have to replace if it rains or snows. I use the same approach for my boat and seems to hold them at bay.

I looked up Mouse Magic and checked out the reviews, especially the negative ones, on Amazon.Com. Some of them were pretty funny. I don't see myself buying this product.

I use De-Con and spring traps in my remote garage.

We have found that Irish spring soap works. A good friend that deals in antique car told me to use it when I put my cars up for the winter and I have not had a mouse problem since. And it smell much better than mothballs come spring!
