There is a food source close to your mouse motel.

I use three measures to deter mice. The first is a product called Fresh Cab. I place packets in various locations around the coach, especially in the cargo compartments. The second is ultrasonic rodent repellents. I have one in the garage where the coach is stored, one in the cargo compartment, and one inside the coach. Finally, I use sticky mouse traps around the walls in the garage bay.
I obviously remove any food sources from the coach when it’s in storage. My wife likes to put bounce sheets in the drawers and cabinets too, but I don’t know if that helps or not.
So far, so good.

They are looking for a home out of the weather and nothing will totally keep them out. I keep traps baited with peanut butter in the basement and the interior and check them at least weekly. I've caught a few in the past but nothing so far this winter.

This year I caught two with sticky boards near my bait stations. They were field mice and seemed to eat just enough of the bait to get sick but not die. They repeatedly cleaned the traps and I adjusted them so light I could hardly set them down without setting them off.

That's ultimately what I've been doing - 9 traps inside on the floor all over including the bottom cabinets in kitchen and bathroom because IF they get inside they seek out plumbing raceways to hide/nest and I have 2 traps set outside - 1 behind the front and rear wheels. I've spent hours under my rv looking for openings never found any
I remove all my kitchen and bathroom drawers store in the house in the basement AND there's no food in the rv.
Mice are just looking for a place to live.
Interestingly, I park my rv in front of my detached garage where I store bags of open bird seed and suet cakes on the floor and there's no mice in the garage.

Mice
You didn’t say what rig you have. If it were me I would out lights under the rig. Rope lights work good. Also find where they are entering. Cabinet outside or a void somewhere. Size of a quarter can help them get in. Good luck, Travato John

I got a bag of this after a friend recommended it and so far so good. I've been checking once a week and no sign of mice despite being parked right next to the house where we do get some mice who keep the cats amused.

There's been experts on these forums saying that none of this stuff works. I can't prove it either way because I can't really do a control experiment. It might just be that the house is warm so the mice are attracted to that rather than the RV and this stuff is just a money waster to make me feel like I'm doing something.
That said, I think it might be doing something and I notice that the smell has worn off in the couple of months since I left them there so I think I'll order another bag.

I have written other articles on mice, all of the above work but what finally worked for us was to put a drop light under the coach, take an old AM radio and find a 24 hour talk radio and leave it on, take moth balls and put them in nylons and hang them over the tires. Never put them inside they don't smell good.
Never had a mouse again, I kept a peanutbutter trap to see if they got inside and it was never touched again in 7 years.

I won't do my usual super looooong post on mice, and instead urge you to use the search function near the top of the page. Enter the word "mice" and you'll be buried in posts because this exact question gets asked regularly. Add my forum name to the word "mice" and you'll get plenty to read about the subject from someone who spent 16 years as a licensed institutional pest control guy - me. My two most common pests were rodents - primarily mice and rats, and ants. I had to deal with them in offices, cafeterias, chemical storage and mechanical rooms, food storage warehouse, and more, in buildings as new as 2008 and as old as 1930. The methods used were industry standard, backed by decades of research, were always the same, and never involved any kind of repellant. Grab a snack and you favorite beverage, settle in and enjoy the reading. Some of my posts explain the how, and others explain the why. Some talk about the myths and explain the most common mistake - thinking of rodent behavior from a human's point of view, instead of "Know thy enemy."
