X2 on the peanut butter. The only issue is getting DW to part with it.

I responded to a thread on this yesterday but cannot find it now.

I use a product called "Cab Fresh" or "Fresh Cab". It is small pouches containing either mint or balsam in high aroma amounts. Mice hate it. I hate it if I get too close to it. I scatter a few inside the coach and throw a few more underneath.

I no longer have mouse problems.

I get it a the local hardware.

At my other house, where I had a gravel pad to park my bus on , the gravel became a littler box for my cat, and a few other cats in the area. Never had a mouse problem, at my camp I had mice, so I brought my 2 old cats out for a summer. And no mice problem. When it was time to close up for the the winter I spread used cat litter around the cabin , different spots , around our buildings etc . Come spring no signs of mice in the cabin. This has been working for a few years, and yes once in a while you get a whiff . Now moving forward , new house and new gravel type pad. Bus parked for the winter and guess what signs of mice .
So this spring my cats will be under the bus leaving some smells on the ground , hope it works

I have been using electronic traps for the last few years with great success. Instead of peanut butter I just use a peanut as the peanut butter would make a mess. The traps are easy to use as you just "pour" out the dead rodent to wherever... New peanut and turn it on...done.

Many folks buy into the moth balls myth. On our farm I tried them and a few days after putting them out I found mouse nests with moth balls in them. It seems that middle TN mice like to decorate their homes with moth balls.

P.S. Following this thread. We've never had an issue but am interested in the remedies.

Mice Problem

I use Cab Fresh plus we put dryer sheets everywhere inside and in bays. Slice some Irish Spring soap bars and place them through out. Store in a machine shed and haven’t a mouse!! I place bait on paper plates around the coach which is on a gravel pad. No other animals can get to the poison rodent bait.

X 2 on the dryer sheets

We put dryer sheets EVERYWHERE in the Coach and the basements. We have even tried to affix some near the wheels/tires areas to prevent them from climbing up there. Seems to work in our Coach and on our boat when we winterize.
