Ya know - I'm not really in need either. Or am I? And that's the thing isn't it? My GY G670's are dated 3907 - with 18.5 k miles. So that's what - Oct 2007 - 6 years 6 months? We have a 650 mile round trip coming up in April. Is it really worth waiting till after this trip to get tires that may be 3 or 4 months old rather than 9 months old? They're all warranted as new - been living indoors in a hermetically sealed envelop.... I'm going with what I can get now. But really - what's the deal here? Why so few tires around?

I got mine, very same size and kind about 6 weeks ago, took them a couple days. I bought the front 2 a couple weeks before that and no issue.

So no problem here for me in southern Indiana.

I just purchased six XZA 2 at Callahan Tire in FL and used the advantage program. 315/80/22.5 for 586.00 and normal retail is 923.00. Very good deal.

^^^^ Date codes please gentlemen - are you getting 3 - 4 - 6 - 9 month old codes.

on the program being great and a money saver. But if ya want to re-shoe babe now - things appear to get complicated.

I also wonder if trying to buy a full boat complicates the situation. 6 - 8 tires vs 2 tires?

Back before Christmas I was told by another dealer the GY 670's they could get me were 1 year old by date code. They were also about $185 higher per tire than the Micheline Advantage tire program.

You might consider trying the 275/80R22.5 This is the tire I used on my Dutch Star which had the 275/70s. Vastly improved the ride. Awesome tire!

Does the XZA2 Energy come in a 275/80/22.5? And fit the 275/70R rim? I assume the rim would work, but what about Load Range "J"? I wasn't aware the 80R was an option in the XZA2 Energy.

Ask about XZA3s. I got 6 new ones in Texas and he only had 8 total. I think a buddy got the last two. You can use 295 usually too. I would check with Herman Power. They get lots of tires in that size and sell loads of them and others that will fit in Nacogdoches, TX. They are servicing Foretravel and the dealers of Foretravel there. I know that when I was in Nac in january that they put on 20 plus tires on motorhomes that month alone.

They run a batch of tires in a certain size. When that is finished they go on to make other sizes and may not get around to making your size again for many months. That is why there may be older tires around but not fresh-dated tires. They won't run a fresh batch as long as there is a large inventory still on hand. On the other hand, they may run out of a size before they get around to running another batch.

My G670's 275/70/22.5 with a 1505 & 1605 dates on them or 9 years old next month. They are going to make over a 3K mile trip this summer. Will replace them in May 2015 when they are a little over 10 years old and another 1,300 mile trip put on them.

So don't get in a hurry to replace yours yet. Price may come down or not.

Mine will be replaced next weekend.
Good luck getting 10 years out of yours.
Curious. How did you decide 10 years was right and not say, 11 or 12 years? Miles? 10 sounds right? You always get 10 years from RV tires?

Why are you in such a hurry? Are there signs of dry rot or something? Ya, almost 7 years, but only 18.5K... Were they left outside for the entire time or do you store it inside?
