Microwave replacement
I need to replace my microwave. All or the instructions have two bolts through the top cabinet. My kitchen is on a slide. There is no cabinet above the microwave.
There is a panel above the microwave but only wall behind it. Just cant see how screws could be installed. Thought maybe through the tot of the slide but no. Did they set the microwave then build the motorhome around it. Seems that nothing is as it seems. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

take the 2 filter off of the bottom. There are 2 long bolts at an angle that hold it to the wall.

lsalem......when I went to replace the microwave in my 2014 Dutch Star, the unit was NOT installed per industry standards (typical two bolts through the top). On my Newmar, they hung the microwave on a standard back bracket, interlocking "V" that is standard on all microwaves. They swung the microwave up and then drove long drywall screws through the wood above the microwave and into the microwave cabinet/casing. No bolts were used from the top. You might want to to remove the upper microwave vent/frame and see if they drove screws upward, into the wood.
Lastly, once I got the screws out, the microwave still wouldn't swing down. I looked under the microwave, removing the filters, and saw that they also drove some screws through the back wall of the microwave, into the wooden backer.

On our Tiffin, the microwave was attached to the ceiling framework of our slide by three square head screws that went up through the removed front grill, through the upper metal housing of the microwave and into the slide framing. The screw heads where really hard to locate.
The microwave was ALSO held in place by the two long bolts that went up through the grease filters under the microwave and secured to the mounting plate that was attached to the slide wall.
Of course, you're may be mounted differently - but, since it's not a house and was assembled by RV "artisans" you could try searching for screws that might be through the side cabinets, etc. You never know.
But, if we knew your year, make and model we could probably give better answers...

microwave replacement
I have a 2003 Allegro 34 DB. Don't know if the microwave is OEM. Its a Sharp r1500. Veraken's video has some leads worth checking out Ill be back at it on Monday will try and get some pics. Thanks All.

The video is for a Sharp R1870. Here's the manual for the Sharp R1500. I shows that the microwave is mounted by screws through the top (page 14).

microwave replacement
The video did help out I found two screws behind the exhaust for the fan. down it came. this is what I found behind it. Had to lower this frame down 3 inches for the new oven. Made a few modifications and installed the new oven.
Surprise the door wont open. Back out to re-engineer the mount to bring the oven out 3 inches. Its always something.

As a heads up for everyone faced with appliance changeouts, the Sharp microwave door is hinged so that the door always remains within the profile width of the microwave and can open when sandwiched between two cabinets.
As OP found out, many other microwaves are hinged in a manner that forces the door out beyond the width of the microwave as it swings open. Many refrigerators do the same.
Thankfully, OP remained undaunted - grabbed some tools - overcame adversity and saved the day!
