Obviously a microwave can only get power to run from three sources, shore, generator or Inverter. Since you were not hooked to shore power or had the generator on then the logical source of your power was the Inverter.
Therefore, what have you discovered so far as to why the microwave had power to it but as you stated, "none of the other outlets were hot"? Did you discover any GFI's that had tripped preventing Inverter power to them?
A follow-up to your OP as to the outcome would be educational.

Ok, today I turned off inverter, turned it back on and microwave works, all outlets in m/h except for gfi in kitchen. I hooked back up to shorepower and all outlets are hot, including gfi in kitchen...I know now where to get hot coffee when on road!!! thanks for all input as normal you helped by resetting inverter although breaker wasn't kicked out.
