Mccail; Welcome to iRV2.
There would be a little of worry , looking at an older gasser , as engine parts for the Ford 460 V-8 and the Chevy 454, are getting a little scarce.
The newer Chevy. 8.1l and the Ford V-10 , mileage up to 80,000 shouldn't be a problem.
BUT: You should also be looking into CCC; ( Cargo Carrying Capacity ) on the RV's weight sticker , as many older gas chassis coaches and some diesel pushers had very little , when I was shopping I looked at a 37' Tiffin on a Workhorse W-22 ( 22,000 GVWR )chassis that had under 900lbs . CCC ; and a fully loaded diesel pusher with under 600 lbs.
For a Class A , I would consider 3,000 lbs , CCC an absolute minimum.
Current coach has 3,700 , and DW and I use up over 2,000 of that.
Here's a picture of the sticker to look for , note , there is no standard location , so you have to open every cupboard and closet to find them.
