Monaco Cayman will not turn over

2008 Monaco Cayman 6.7 liter diesel pusher with Cummins/Allison2500 ( pickup truck motor ).Thursday traveled 6 hours to a race track and parked. Sunday evening traveled 2.5 hours on the return trip, stopped at Cracker Barrell for dinner which I turned key to stop engine (Dogs). Returned very quickly 25 minutes later, engine would not turn over. All dash lights seemed normal. Waited approximately 2 hours.....it started up. Drove another 3 hours to home. Turned off engine in driveway and restarted hot. Went to bed. Next morning started up cold, drove to our lake house to park inside a building. Has not started since with key. Check all fuses and relays all test good. I can crank engine by jump the starter with a screw diver at the starter. So I replaced the ignition switch. ($28). NO LUCK. i wanted to go to the race track with MH and trailer, so I jumped starter with screw driver, let warm up...... then I discovered MH would not pull up incline as usual. Reverse seems to have normal power but not DRIVE ! Any help would be thankful, Don.

I have owned a Monaco Signature 500 HP Cummins,4000 Allison, but this is a little smaller motor, starter and relays.

Welcome to iRV2.

Sorry your first is about problems .

You 2500 series Allison also has different controls the the 3000/4000 series that your used to .
Some years of the 2500 using the Arens SBW ( Shift By Wire ) also have an Allison NSBU ( Neutral Start Back Up ) module , between the electronic shift motor and the transmission that can be an issue as it provides a ground circuit to the starter relay ( the relay is different that the solenoid on the starter ) .I've replaced 2 starter relays for erratic no crank condition.
So important to find and test yours ; during the no crank condition.

Contact Freightliner with your serial number for wiring schematics and diagrams for your chassis . Once you have them treat them like gold .

A quick read of my post on the Arens shifter issues could prove enlightening too. I'm trying to link all the shifter relater issues together.

Replaced starter.......no start. Found ignition relay in back curb side compartment and swap exhaust brake relay with ignition relay ( I heard the transmission module " fire up" as soon as I plugged working relay in ) and it started right up. Not sure if I had a bad starter that effective the relay ?
