Monaco Roof Replacement somewhere in the midwest?

I had some pretty severe hail damage earlier this spring and so far have struck out on finding someone to repair it in the upper midwest (St. Paul/Minneapolis.) The one shop that seemed confident when I visited them has not returned my phone calls or supplied me a bid to complete the work. Additionally, he did not get on the roof but told me it was an easy job because the radius'ed transition between the roof and the walls was a separate piece so he would not need to remove anything from the roof. Once I looked at it I immediately knew that was wrong (and likely why he hasn't returned a bid after doing some research.)

The larger dealers in this area will not work on anything this old. 2000/01

I did have a paintless guy that said he could do it (via glue-pulls) -- but wouldn't do it for less than the insurance pay out. I figured if I was paying full price, I should benefit from a full replacement and reseal.

It's a two piece metal roof with a seam down the middle. The hail damage (or at least the part that you can see) is limited to the side radius on both sides.

I've already replaced AC covers, vent covers and skylight. The roof overall is in good shape and leak free. Solar will need to be removed and replaced but I can't anticipate that's much of a concern with the right shop.

I've come to terms with I may need to travel to find the "right" shop to tackle this job. Would be perfectly willing to drop it off in MN/WI/ND/SD/IA/IL or maybe even IN or NE.....

The big issue is that I don't want to put those kind of miles on without a firm quote in hand. If you haven't noticed, diesel is expensive right now.

Any recommendations on quality shops that are reasonably priced? I'm not in a hurry and this might be great wintertime work for the right place.

I talked to somebody over the summer who had a minor repair done on his leaking roof at Midwest RV Roof in Adams Nebraska and he just raved about how nice and accommodating they were.

I guess they specialize in Flex Armor but are basically general RV roof experts.

You may want to contact them just to see what they say. Maybe send them some pictures and verbally describe the problem and your concerns and get their feedback. Maybe they can recommend another facility if they can't do it or don't want to do it.
