Last December we sold our home in FL to go full time and own no other property.
We were buying a new DP and I researched the heck out of this including the MT LLC.
Ultimately we went with South Dakota which was 4% vs FL 6%. The LLC would have been 0% but the startup and ongoing costs to maintain the LLC erode those savings. My sales tax was $10,600 with SD on a $265K DP.
My conclusion was the LLC makes sense if you are buying into the Prevost level.
