Motor Home Bra

My 2003 has a bra, and has it's whole life. It's got paint issues on the face, so the bra needs to stay.
Recently some nitwit that forgot he was towing a boat drove around me i na parking lot and hit the front of hte RV, damaging the bra.
The body shop says they will fix the damage, but I will need to source the Bra, because they don't do that, and he "...hasn't seen one of those in years - I don't think they even make them anymore"

Anyone have a good or bad experience on replacing one, and a manufacturer recommendation?

I'd forget the bra idea and find someone who could design and make a wrap to cover the damage the bra is covering up. A wrap would be more permanent and will cause less damage than a bra will. Down the road if you want to change it up it's no problem.

If you have the original bra, then an upholstery shop should be able to make one, particularly if you find a shop that deals with boats, because they usually have equipment for the larger width of material.

Contact Ken at: Ken@Carbra.com
Just got one from him and I love it. Perfect fit.
You can have it in 22 different colors.
I just arrived in California from Florida and no issues on the bra.

Tell him Harry sent you.

I'd skip the bra and get the front fixed and painted. There are mobile paint guys that can do a nice job at a reasonable price. We keep ours cleaned and waxed so bugs are easy to clean off. We use a waterless cleaner/wax from Aero Cosmetics because so many campgrounds won't let you wash anything.

I think a bra is a good idea when traveling, but when parked for an extended period it should be removed to prevent moisture from damaging the paint.

Wade made my bra on my New Aire.
There offices are at the Lazy Day complex in the Tampa area.

I purchased mine from this guy. RV Bra. Good luck. There are several companies that make them.

Are they doing a full front repaint that repairs the current paint issues. Personally I do like the look of a bra on a MH. If bra is wrecked you need to get paid for it and get quotes. Are there turn clips to hold it on now or will need to be custom made or finished to match up new one you just orderer online. Maybe they need it as a pattern make sure it doesn't get tossed by shop. If not ,clips need to be removed filled before repaint more cost you need reimbursed .
I know it's a four letter word around but newest or highest grade Diamond shield is supposed to last a long time as well. Read some shield on MH were not best version.

If they're repairing the front, just leave the bra off. If they're only painting one side, maybe pony up a few dollars more and get the entire front repainted.
