When my Cat took a dump I bought a low mileage rv salvage engine for $10kAnd paid the Cat house $10k for installation and miscellaneous stuff.

The salvage yard did not require a used engine be traded in.

I kept all the accessories off the bad engine so Iíll never need a alternator, water pump, ecm, injection pump, etc

Fly back to Billings and take a look yourself. Then rent a car and go find a local shop or a mechanic. Independent truck shops are probably cheapest and most familiar with blown up engines in older equipment.
