Motorized Day Shade Stuck

Today, I lowered the day shade to the engine running limit. When we parked, it will not retract. The night shade works fine. Since I tested the Day shade, it does go completely down. Now I am stuck with a down day shade. Any thoughts on how to retract.
Reading some threads, I do hear a beep when switch is pushed. I also see some covered little push buttons up near the rollers.

Suspect one of your upper and lower limit switches (covered little push buttons) has gotten out of synch. Hopefully the 'fix' is described in your on-board manuals, or on a manufacturer's website (perhaps MCD?).

I've reset one of my shades - the process is straightforward following the step-by-step instructions. Let us know if you don't find the instructions - might be able to get you a copy - but let us know who's your shade company.

IF it's an MCD shade, it should have two small push buttons in the upper left end of the shade. Go to MCD's website and print out the procedure for adjusting the upper and lower limits.

I've found over the years, the shades will brain fart and loose their settings. That's the reason I printed the adjustment procedure and keep it in the coach.

If your shade has lost the limit settings and is adjustable, take some blue tape and mark on the windshield where you want the day shade to stop. The procedure for resseting the shades, requires that you do both when you reset them. By marking where you want them to stop, both at the top and while driving, will help during programming. Once you start the programming, you can't adjust a shade the other way, if you go too far. You have to start over.

Yeah, sounds like you're stuck in the programming mode. Check YouTube, there's a bunch of videos on reprogramming them. Be prepared to have to run through the procedure more than once to get back in sync.

Thanks for the info. I do not have any docs about the shades. I did find the MCD instructions and video online. I needed the manufacture’s name, so thank you!
Reprogrammed with trial & error. Believe I’m back to normal.
