Mountain Aire Roof Air Question Please

1999 MA has two AC units. One is the Penguin so it is about nine months old. The other is the original I believe. Units worked intermittently, sometimes cycling even if the Thermos stat was disconnected then they started to operate for a while until the Dometic 5 button went totally blank. These problems would go away and all would be fine next morning until they were not again.

Replaced the board with no luck, switched board to new unit just to make sure, no luck. Now the front unit works no matter which unit the new board is in but the rear does not.

Was able to do a successful reset, at least got the FF response.

I have one question re the dip switches. Do both "zone 2" dip switches have to be on or just the one in the main or front AC.

I have not ruled out the low voltage wires but they go bad so infrequently I am trying to make sure I did not miss something in my hunt for the needle.

All suggestions will be considered and greatly appreciated.

Thanks for any info anybody might provide.

For those interested, it turns out that the front unit, which was the Penguin installed less than a year ago had fiberglass insulation blocking the drain pan holes, causing the pan, and everything else wit an edge to fill up and float the low voltage wiring literally destroying the connections. Bought the repair kit last night and should be OK today.
