OP's mileage is definitely low if the figures are correct.
Wow - that's great!
I'm getting 5.6 mph according to Aladdin monitor.

As 2 stroker said, get a monitor. I got the VMSpc around 2000 from Silverleaf at a show in Salem OR, used it in the '00 and then '02 DSDP. I ended up using a cheap Acer netbook to display the output.
Current rig has the VMS 400CL unit.

Now, if the Comeapart would quit breaking valves off!!
Two engine rebuilds in 47,000 miles isn't good. First one was under warranty, second one was partly on me ($22,000 my cost)
I do seem to be getting slightly less mileage now but I've only driven it less than 4,000 miles so still breaking in again.

We have a CAT 400 hp and we are avg. 7-7.5 I think your MPG is low.
I installed a Scan Gauge D this past year and It gives me all that info, plus a whole lot more without breaking the bank.
PPL in Houston had it for $130.

My C-9 could not get 7 mpg if it had a tornado behind pushing.

my rig is a 2000's with cummins isc 350 engine. at that era, the coach was built much lighter, one slide, no tag axles. over 5 years since my ownership, i have seen sturdy 8-9.5 mpg. this is one of the reasons i still stick to it (other reasons include cheap registration and insurance...).

I get 8.5-9 MPG unless the conditions are horrible (traffic jams for example). I'm a conservative driver, but try to go the limit.

The Winnie I average 20 MPG minimum, often 21+. But that's a much smaller rig, and engine.

EDIT - How are you determining mileage? I calculate by hand as well as with the onboard monitoring.

PS - don't bother checking filters - if you have not replaced them recently yourself, just install new air and fuel filters.
DIC shows 5.8 which as best as I can figure by hand, is roughly right. I have the issue where I can't seem to quite fill the tank all the way. Gets about halfway between 3/4 & full before it keeps clicking the pump nozzle off.

"MO Fred"......The Silverleaf VMS has to be calibrated to get close to accurate mileage. There is an adjustment under engine calibration to do this. Even after multiple adjustments, I find mine is only accurate on flat ground with no hill climbing. It will get you close, but pencil/paper is the only way to get accurate mpg.

My trip down to Florida taking the mountains gave me 6.5 mpg. I have a 8.3 mechanical towing a Jeep Wrangler, doing the speed limit. I averaged 7.5 mpg after the mountains, which I have no complaints. Your 5.8 mpg is low like everyone answered. I agree filter change all around to get a set point with the engine. Deduct generator run time also, which I had not done and got low mpg.
The MPG subject always gets some interesting replies, which I like to see. For us we bought our coach for enjoyment and to see how many motels we can pass by. Happy safe travels, you will find the sweet spot for your rig in due time.

'15 ISL9. I'm averaging 8.9 mpg including monthly Gen running. 32k lbs pulling 3.5k Accord. Drive 55-60. Ya go 70 and get 7 mpg, not me. Costs hundreds more and more stress. Retired, what's the rush?
