Smile Must of been a shop accident

Granted, we're new to this. So tonight we're driving our Damon Outlaw onto a cloverleaf onramp onto interstate 44. Many accidents there as the merge lane is also an offramp approach. I was going slowly, and i had to stop as all lanes were full. The driver behind me was obviously pleased with the sound of his horn. Entire stop was less than 15 seconds. But its ok. I feel for him now as he had obviously lost four fingers from his right hand as he sped around us. Probably a shop accident.

If all the lanes are stopped I am thinking it's was a good idea for him to stop also.
Otherwise you would have one moving motorhome going though a bunch of stopped cars.
I doubt that would end well.

When you say all lanes were full....were they all stopped?

If not you're supposed to pour on the coal and merge.

Don't stop on an on ramp in Los Angeles...You won't hear just one horn!!!

Unless traffic is already stopped, coming to a stop on a freeway on ramp is NOT usually a good idea. Especially if we're in a vehicle that is slow to get up to speed. It's a wonder the OP didn't get stuck there forever.

Glad you were there to fully assess the situation. Been behind several drivers that need written permission to enter the traffic flow and been caught when they stop. I just give the hang loose sign.
