MY RV Renovation

Three months ago I decided it was time to tear out the carpet and tile in my 20 year old Mandalay RV. I also decided it was time for a new Sofa sleeper couch.

I decided to go high end with a really plush carpet and black galaxy tiles.
I found a father and son team who do this as a side job on the weekends.
They did a great job.

Tomorrow the last bit will be completed, the black galaxy granite entry steps get added

Add some pics but kept getting errors on others

Nice work! I take it one of those steps is a lid to a storage compartment?

I thought about upgrading my sofa, there are certainly some really nice ones out there 2nd hand for really solid prices, but I have found that (the non pullout style) often still have attached arm rests, where as my current one has removable arm rests, which means when it is folded down even a 6ft guy can fit comfortably! So I'm looking at having it re-upholstered or putting a cover on it

I do want to rip out the old carpet though, and at least partially replace it with vinyl plank

Thanks for all the nice feedback.
I wish I was talented enough to do this work, but I'm not.

I found the experts for the tile, carpet, and granite steps.

I also have an ex RV repair guy that I call for everything, he has seen it all.
It was not easy getting the couch thru the window and the arm and back height caused us to leave the feet off in the back and cut 2 inches off the feet in the front.

I did have the vision of how I wanted it based on many visits the the high end bus conversions I have seen over the years.

So that worked out well.

I could have redone the sofa sleeper but Lazy boy has a temperpedic mattress in the couches and you can't buy it seperately, so we went with the new one.

Inspirational, thanks for sharing. Black galaxy is a great choice, and I like the contrast you chose with the white grout (or is that silicon?). My cabinets look like yours, I take a pass with old English furniture oil and they look great for a couple weeks lol.
