Name that generator
Ok old heads here, I looked at a 2004 Gulf Stream travel supreme. I die was nice and clean but once the generator was started , I heard what was obviously a bearing howling in the generator portion itself.
I opened the compartment and pulled the cover and it’s not a brand I’ve ever seen. Owner said it was a generic but I call BS .
The generator had a vertical shaft Honda twin cylinder engine and the generator portion was mounted vertically to the right. It must be belt driven .
I’m just so curious to know what brand this may be . Anyone have any idea . Owner said it was a 5k
Thanks in advance

Possibly a Generac. Sure it was a Honda engine on it? Had one in mu 99 Tropi-Cal. Engineered to make you appreciate the Onans! Didn't like running 2 ACs once outside temp over 85 or so. Added oil cooler and 15w-50 oil to keep it from shutting down on low oil pressure. Yes, vertical shaft and belt driven. Sounded like a go cart and National RV thought putting it in the left rear corner under the bedroom was a good idea. One of the better parts of having Diesel RV is the real Onan QD machines with water cooling. Want power, start it up and let it go!

Some confusion here... Gulfstream and Travel Supreme are two different manufacturers. Which one is it?
I think Travel Supreme used Onans, so a strange generator brand seems more likely to be in a Gulfstream. And Gulfstream had a model called an Ultra Supreme back then...

My '04 Gulfstream had a Generac, w vertical set up. Went out w ~700Hrs on it, was lucky & found a reasonably priced replacement Generac, only going w Generac for ease of replacement. Last I heard, Generac is out of the RV market. First coach & this one has Onan, I'm much happier.

He said it labored with both air conditioning running . It’s was a pig with lipstick.
False advertising too . Advertised as new tires , dot date code 2214 . There were so many things that I saw wrong by just doing a walk around . I can work on any system on an even but don’t want to start off having issues if there’s evidence of back yard engineering
