Name that part! Thor (maybe Tiffin too) Paddle latch problems
I've got a 2016 Tuscany- of course the paddle handle on the exterior door broke, but thanks to another thread here I found the replacement. Arrived today and it's perfect.
Once I get the old unit out however, I noticed the attachment that connects to the latch linkage seems to be riveted or pressed on. Big bummer.
I've tried everything but chewing it off, including prying the old lock arm off the broken handle just to reverse engineer some solution.
There is none. It's pressed on.
So if you have just one moment, it's time to play "WHAT IS THIS PART CALLED AND WHO'S GOT 'EM?"
I have to find out what these are and where to get them fast-- Any ideas?
Thanks so much for the help and entertainment so far. I beg your assistance and thank you in advance for playing! !!!!

Won’t be an item you can buy individually. It’s part of the assembly.
I’d simply cut the steel lever arm near the bend on both parts and weld the arm onto your new handle. Be easiest and cheapest

Thanks!
Thing is, it's pressed on and rotates with the handle-- so if I tack it on, it'll effectively lock the door - or at least the handle lol.
So where does trimark get em?
I have a press, so I can attach em' but I cannot even seem to find the dang name.
Abby @ trimark is working on it, I guess they need to custom build... thing is I was planning on leaving for 3 weeks in 5 days lol.
Story of my life...

I would suggest you get a small block of metal, looks like aluminum, and make one. Just need a drill & a tap. Home Depot or onlinemetals.com should have what you need.

OK, I'm spitballing now and speaking as a retired tool and die maker
I would do as Doc recommended, use a dremel tool to grind off the perimeter (not the end) of the bradded rivet head so the washer will slip off. Push out the shiny linkage adjustment block.
Transfer said block to new part, add washer, then use either your press or(preferably) a center punch to enlarge/brad the end again enough for it to hold. (4 equidistant punch marks near edge)
Be sure it rotates after re-bradding.

I can’t tell if that’s a washer that’s held on with a head like a rivet or a one piece cap that taps on the end of an axle like a kids wagon?

NO, it is a washer and the OP can do what Ray says.
Just grind / file the diameter of the stud barely enough to press it out.
Install in new assembly, use the old washer, and re-peen the stud.
Been there, done that.

If you have taps cut it flush to the washer and tap the stub for a small screw.
