Nationwide RV Glass
Looking for any comments about Nationwide RV Glass, this is the company my insurance recommends for my one piece windshield replacement. Hopefully someone here has experience with them. Thanks in advance for your replies.

Never heard of them but out of curiosity I contacted them for a quote on our 2002 Monaco Windsor 40PBT. It has the one-piece windshield.
They quoted me $3943 to replace it. I don't know how that compares with other companies.

I'm currently fighting with them over a poor installation on our Monaco. It's been going on since November and I am not close to being pleased. Many others have since recommended Guardian. Good luck.

Thanks Joe and Chuck for your replies. Joe at least they are pretty consistent on their prices. My quote from them was $3939.00 and I believe our coaches take a very similar windshield. Chuck I am sorry to hear about your issues with them, this is the kind of thing I was hoping not to hear. But honestly I received a few quotes and they were all over the place from $3939-$5200 and only was a local company. There only seems to be a few of these rv glass company's out there, and most of them try to use local talent since they only sell you the service.

Update on Nationwide RV Glass aka Avid Auto Glass of Denver, CO, all I can say is "buyer beware".
They took my 50% deposit on Oct 30 for new windshield and gasket, promised installation in a week. Nearly Four weeks later, window falls out 12 hours after finally getting it installed. Nothing but finger pointing and lip service from their office, their sub-contracted installer, etc. On November 26, they wanted their remaining payment and I refused until there work was corrected. Weeks went by, no action by them. Nothing, Not even the courtesy of returning phone calls or emails. No contact until February 14 when they charged my credit card without my permission. I immediately alerted their office (and my bank) that the service was horrible and the charge fraudulent since I didtnt approve it. I alerted my bank and the last charge was reversed. A different manager contacted me, apologized up and down, promised to make everything right and I thought they were going to make good on the terrible installation. Today they informed me that since I refuse to pay their remaining balance, they refuse to warranty or repair the installation. Just passing my experience along and hoping others don't get taken.

Better Business bureau and call the state attorney general office. If your local tv station does rip off stories contact them like 7 on your side.

Going through this process now. I went on a couple of those websites for RV glass and searched for installers or sites near my location. I then went directly to those installers first to ask them about their experience, etc.
Progressive uses Duncan to manage their glass claims for RV's. Duncan asked me who I wanted. The guy I picked was in the Duncan list.
The guy doing my work told me it is much cheaper to go directly through him as the other big places all take their cut.
You may want to find your own installer and go that route if you don't have insurance covering it.

I went thru SAFELITE auto glass, a national company, but that may use a subcontracting glass company when needed, which they did for me - ABRA Auto Glass.
Do I CARE if the company uses a subcontractor for the work? Probably a little, but in the end if the effect is the same, I should be happy no matter. RV glass is such a large heavy bulky item that few companies have the experience, know how, equipment, and people to make it happen, not to mention whether they can actually stock the different windshield for so many different motorhome and rv varieties.
My SAFECO policy did provide me a $0 glass deductible, for a no out-of-pocket cost, but the installer did not install and caulk the rubber seal properly and it developed a small drip down the inside of the passenger side. It's not terrible, but noticeable. I do remember having to sign a 'no guarantee' waiver since I choose to use a rv dealer that would not participate in Safelite's 'guarantee' program. But, I wanted NIRVC in Atlanta to do the work anyway, so I signed my guarantee away... oh well. I got up later and caulked it properly myself. $5.

I just had a new windshield on my 07 Camelot at the rev factory in Decatur. Three hour into my journey home the top drivers side of the windshield & gasket comes loose and a lot of wind noise started. I took it back for them to fix it again. I’m not holding my breath. I had a windshield installed last year at alliance in wildwood Florida, it cracked about a month after that install. So if you find a good windshield installer stick with them.

We're now waiting for a new shipment of gaskets from Coach Glass. A batch came through there that didn't meet specs, so they are producing new ones. Luckily my glass hasn't broken this time. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Why change the gasket? Damaged? I was talked out of changing mine by multiple folks.
