need a recommendation for dry dock off I-20 East of Atlanta

Looking at rest stops in GA doesn't look like they allow overnight sleeping
Have a Diesel pusher with a toad. Walmart in Conyers not friendly to overnighters per rvparky reviews.
Any suggestions ?

Hard Labor Creek State Park around exit 107. It is about 7 or 8 miles north of I20.

It sounds like you are wanting a quick overnight to rest and get back on the road. Exit 114 is a Pilot. The location information can be found at https://pilotflyingj.com/stores/420

I've stayed overnight in both a Georgia rest stop and their welcome center and never had an issue.

I don't make it obvious by extending my slide-outs though.

You could check out freecampsites.net they have free boon docking sites all over the US. There might be one around where you want to stay.

If Conyers isn't too far, the salesman at Crown RV said there is a big parking lot beside their dealership that truckers use.

We have stayed overnight in a GA rest area with no problems.

Lived in this area all my life, trust me you want to get out of Atlanta passed conyers or Covington the neighborhood is not real friendly if you know what I mean. The rest stops at the state line are real nice and lots of room, large truck stops at I 20 and hwy 441

The Pilot/Flying J at Union Point GA (east of Atlanta on I-20) is a full travel center, not just a refueling spot. Very nice for overnighting. Has a Denny's restaurant also. We stayed there last November.

My thanks also to the folks who responded to this thread. We traveled the same road into Atlanta from SC last summer and will probably do it again next year. My plan was to overnight in a rest area that evening, but I waited until the last one before entering the Atlanta traffic.......and it was closed. It's good to have alternatives, thanks.

List of GA rest areas closed for renovation and approx dates of reopening. Also scroll down for a list of rest areas and welcome stations with dump stations.
