Troy-
First off,
The Simba is a cousin of the Monaco Monarch and the Holiday Rambler Admiral, which we own. Except for "furniture," they should be quite similar.
We are happy with our coach. As I've modified and repaired I've discovered some "decisions" by Monaco designers and assemblers that I would have made differently. I think that would be true for every coach.
The SFS has two slide weaknesses. One weakness is common for all Monacos- they can develop floor rot at the outer slide corners. Check the underside of the corners of the full-width slide on that SFS for softness.
The second slide weakness for the full-width slide is the tendency for the upper slide fixed slide seal to rust and fall off the slide opening onto the top of the slide. You can look for that by opening the slide, getting on a ladder and looking under the slide topper to see if the fixed slide seal is detached from the wall of the coach.
Both of these slide problems, and their fixes, have been covered in prior iRV2 threads. It's just money and labor to fix them. I will caution, though, that if a slide floor rot problem is extensive the repair will run into the thousands of dollars, as the slide would have to be removed from the coach.
Every coach design has its flaws, but these are the most serious for the Monaco SFS.
Sometimes, pre-purchase questions/concerns are better-addressed by a phone conversation; if you would like that, just send me a private message containing your contact information. If you buy the coach, send me a private message and I'll forward wiring diagrams for it to you.
