Need fast answer on CHF (under MH now)!

So I removed the link bolts no problem. Obviously they don’t line up with the inner holes. Do I loosen axle brackets to move the bar, or do I use a bottle jack and raise/preload it to line them up? Thanks

Yes, either way..

If you loosen brackets, put some silicone paste on the bushings to lubricate them.

If you have some silicon paste (dielectric grease) I'd grease the bushings. You don't need a lot, just a tiny bit coating the bushing where it contacts the bar. Don't tighten anything until all the bolts are in.

Ok thanks, it’s a quick trip to the auto parts store for the grease, so I’ll do that.

Got-R-Done! Thanks again Waiter. The reason I’m not doing the rear yet is I’m going to replace bushings with poly. I’ll probably just go ahead and replace the fronts at the same time. Lubed the front end while I was at it. Haven’t driven it yet.

When you buy new bushings they should come with the right grease.

Will do. Going down to the Oregon coast on the 12th (600 miles round trip), which should give me a good variety of driving conditions to evaluate. I’m actually debating just going ahead and switching the rear links now, and doing the bushings later. I figure, why not?

BTW, we have an Oceanside spot reserved at Pacific Shores motorcoach resort. First time there. Can’t wait.
