Need Help with a 2002 National Islander

Hello All! We are rookies and have set up our new to us 40' 2002 National Islander in North Texas as a home away from home (being Quebec Canada). All has been well for the last several weeks except that all of a sudden we have lost power to the water panel. We can't open or close the gray/black water valves. The lights don't flash or even turn on. We have also noticed that there is no power to the interior step cover and some exterior lights. We have checked the breaker box located in the bedroom cabinet but they all seem fine. We have looked at the fuse diagram within the manual but it is really not all that helpful as nothing seems to be labeled for that panel. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you Gilles & Suzy

Hi Gilles & Suzy! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!

Have you checked the "salesman's switch" just inside the entry door? Normally that just turns off the lights, but maybe it controls more in your rig.

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

Can you differentiate between 12v and 120v systems and which work or not? It sounds like you have a 12v problem, in that case the problem will not be found in the breaker box but maybe in the batteries or fuse panel.

Moderators should move the OP's post to the National RV Owners forum

I woud imagine that your 2002 is not much different from my 2001. There are fuses in the compartment below the driver's seat and above the batteries. Here is a link to my manual, I hope it helps. http://www.irv2.com/forums/downloads.php?do=file&id=202
