I needed all the clearance I could get. By replacing the wood shelf and lowering the platform as much as possible I was able to gain almost 3 inches in height.

The heater calls out for 1" clearance to combustibles so I opted for a metal platform with 1/8" clearance instead. Open on the sides to allow air flow from underneath.

The sheet metal was some that i had in my shop. Cut with an angle grinder.

Samsung

You've already made your choice, but our Samsung is outstanding. Has a linear drive compressor and the thing never draws more than a few amps. We use a psw inverter , but my EE friend says that isn't really necessary.

Thx. I have a 2003 Monaco Knight. 70 inches just won't work. I'd have to remove heater and that isn't going to happen. Thanks for the tip on the metal floor:-)

Need recommendation for residential refrigerator

Removing the htr wasn’t an option for me either but relocating it was. I removed my htr and relocated it. A lot of planning but not really a option for most. I like my Samsung just fine except the shelving layout could be better designed.
