I use a Viair 40047 400P-RV Automatic Portable Compressor Kit and works fine to inflate trailer and truck tires to 110 psig and 65 front/80 rear psig, respectively.

Thanks for the suggestion but, using an alternate air outlet from the tank with a permanent hose I couldn't even inflate a bike tire even though the pressure guage on the pump indicated proper pressure. I'm concerned about spending money on a replacement hose for naught.

I carry this small this small Porter-Cable 150 psi air compressor in one of my storage compartments --> https://www.amazon.com/PORTER-CABLE-...ef_=ast_sto_dp

I attach an air hose purchased at Walmart and use the Haltec Dual Foot Lock-on Air Chuck --> https://www.amazon.com/Haltec-CH-350...e%2C112&sr=1-4

When I need to "top off" my tires with 5-10 psi of air, I first run the air compressor to until it shuts off at 150 psi the connect the chuck to the tire valve and let the compressor run until the gage on the compressor shows a 5-10 psi increase. This top off takes 5 minutes (+/-) per tire.

Since I've never had my current coach properly weighed, I keep all of my tires inflated to 125 psi.

Best tire inflation method I ever had was an adapter to the regulator on my dive tank. Something about having 3000 PSI backing up your output just made it sweet.

In 2018, I purchased a Craftsman 1.2 Gallon AirBoss[emoji769] Oil-Free Air Compressor and Hose Kit from Sears and the air hose rotted out in my storage bay.

Can anyone offer advice on a RELIABLE portable air compressor?

Thanks

Why not change the hose? When I purchased mine it has a yellow slinky style crap I change immediately and still going strong.

I have a Viair and it works fine but I did learn something useful from a mistake I made when I first used it. I had tried to take power from a single six volt house battery. It ran but not very well. Then moved cables to 12 start bat and it ran great, even from a full flat tire sized 275/70/22.5 to 120 lbs.

The unit needed a 1/2 hour cool down after filling the tire which is normal to protect the compressor from over heating. Hope this info is useful.

check the unit's air filter it might be a problem if it is dirty. Then contact the manufacturer's support staff they may have a solution for your issue. good luck

I caught this on sale for $99 and 10% vet discount so good buy. Also I have tried literally every small option and none of them got the job done, as least for me. This guy rides inside my spare tire.

Hi from Mr. Turbyfill...

This is what I have in my front bay. Overkill but I have 365's up front that air up to 115. I purchased a light weight hose with truck tire air chuck to make things easier for this old man...

Why 90 psi?

You wrote that you want to air up all your tires to 90 psi. Why?

Have you had your unit four-tire weighed? We had our weighed last weekend and it turns out we should only have 70 psi in the rear tires according to the Michelin inflation chart.

The chart is available in a post on one of the forums, or through a web search.

Did the same 5 years ago. $99 and 10% veteran discount at Lowes. Airs up my 22.5 tires easily.

I just sold my Viair 400P RV automatic compressor. It worked perfectly on my old Airstream Interstate with duallies.
It had an air filter which needed periodic maintenance but for me was never clogged with dust.

Now I have an offroad RV with 41" tires and had an ARB twin compressor installed for airing up and down. It seems more efficient than the Viair, but then it has twin pumps.

We bought a Ryobi 18 volt 1 gallon compressor:

https://www.homedepot.com/p/RYOBI-ON...P739/305269932

I love it. It goes to 200 psi, and inflates quickly. Plus, I already have additional batteries with other Ryobi tools I have. I put a short 8' quick disconnect hose on it. It only weighs 14 lbs....just throw it into the back of my truck.
