Need suggestions on diesel pusher brands

I looking to move up from my '05 Holiday Rambler Ambassador 40 PLQ. Looking for a used or new diesel pusher in the 36'-40' range. Must have lots of pass through basement storage and 10,000# towing capacity.

From the few I have looked at I like the Thor Venetian M37 but seems it must have come out in 2016 as I don't find any older ones advertised. Other possibilities are Tiffin Phaeton, Forest River Berkshire, Fleetwood Discovery, Pace Arrow, Pace Arrow LXE. Any I have missed?

Can anyone offer advice, especially about such issues as quality and reliability?

Thanks,
Ed

Lots of folks would like to move up TO your 05 Holiday Rambler!

Good luck on finding the perfect rig for your needs!

Try looking here...Possibly go higher up the tree in quality rather than year model.

Price range?
If you're looking at Phaetons I would add Newmar Ventana to the list.
Tiffin has an Allegro RED that's one step below the Phaeton
Newmar makes a Ventana LE that is one step below the Ventana

You'll get as many opinions as there are people; if everyone thought exactly the same there'd only be one mh type, make, and model. Thank goodness we don't. When we decided it was based on floorplan, chassis, and engine and value for the buck. Brand envy wasn't there for us. You've got a great leg up having had a nice mh already. If you think about it, all class a's do the same thing: house on wheels that can move when you want to. We ignored the two opposite sets of opinions and concentrated on finding what we liked. What we bought has been great, great service and warranty, and has all the amenities we want so it works for us. When it comes down to it, it's only your wants/needs that count.

I also agree. I have not been happy with the quality of the Thor coaches I have seen. I would look at Newmar and Tiffin.

If you have not owned a Thor coach you don't know what
you are talking about. Previous post about the layout and
and appearance are spot on. All these brands discussed are
essentially the same, common chassis, engine, transmission,
slide components, etc. Find one you like.
In 8 years and over 600 nights on the road, I've heard good
stories and not so good stories about every assembly line
coach out there. Custom made, or custom conversions are
other categories.

Consider the Fleetwood Expedition, Discovery and Discovery LXE line. They have 38 and 40 ft floor plans with 2 bathrooms. Also, Fleetwood tends to put in larger engines and Allison transmissions that many of their competitors in the same length. We have seen some Thor and Venetian products with lots of bling, but as others have suggested, focus on the chassis, engine, transmission and critical functioning items.
