New 2022 Newmar, On Lot for 1 1/2 years

I found a competitive price on a new 2022 Newmar that a dealer has had on the lot for 1 and 1/2 years. What do I need to look for? Bad batteries? Bad diesel? Or something else?

Those are a good start. Just remember, everything on the coach has aged almost 2 years. Tires, coolant, brake fluid(if equipped), engine air filter(age matters), engine oil, etc. Make sure everything is functional before signing anything. An outside inspector would be a good plan, yes this will cost you.

Also remember that the value has decreased as well. Tires are now two years old, etc.. Could it be a good purchase? Yes, but be sure and buyer always has to be ware even with new stuff.

"NEW" is previously untitled in most states and will be necessary for the Newmar warranty to be still in effect. I doubt it has "sat" and rarely if ever driven as the dealer tried to sell it. "Normally", at least for the chassis warranty, they "should" grant you a warranty start date AND actual mileage at the time of your purchase, so be sure and ask about that. A few thousand miles of "extended" warranty miles might come in handy in the future.

Check the tires too. Even though there are just 'delivery miles' on them they have been sitting in the sun and elements for 1 1/2 years.

Does it have miles on it ? Dealers use their stock all the time and try to sell it as "new" because they can legally drive it with dealer plates. Standard hustle. That coach is only "new" because as mentioned, untitled. Fact is the value is based on age, not their definition of new.

Thanks all for the useful information! We did not submit an offer for the 1 1/2 y/o model.
We have an offer accepted for a 2022 Newmar Ventana 4369...only been on the lot for 8 months! Seems like towards the end of last summer that sales dropped off. Time to turn the inventory over!

Ah, nice coach. I have that same year and floor plan. You will love it.

We bought a coach in similar condition....brand new, never tagged, but sat with the curb side facing west and the Texas sun all that time. Several years later we had a RF blow out.

If that's the one in Sturtevant that is one beautiful and well decked out coach. Congrats and enjoy!

If you get it at a bargain price and have to put tires on it, so what? You will have at least 3 years on the tires that are on it now before replacing them. Check fuel filters and maybe change the oil, depending on mileage on it.

Yes, it is, and our financing has been approved! Its maiden voyage will be to Palm Creek in Casa Grande, AZ. Leaving on the 24th!
