New engine battery recommendation

Greetings all, any suggestions what (and where) to purchase new batteries for our Fleetwood Discovery diesel pusher? The two batteries in the Beast to start the diesel engine are showing there age!

We live in the Sacramento, CA area......

As always, thanks for the advice and help!

Call your local Freightliner dealer. They had the original equipment batteries on sale. I bought 2 for $69.00 ea and they were new production. The regular price on this battery was about $130.00 ea. I think they are still running this special.

Great warranty and they usually have a pallet full of them in the back room. The guy told me mine were the most popular truck battery out there, so they keep a lot in stock.

Walmart EverStart batteries. Good battery, good warranty, serviced mist anywhere. About $250 out the door for a pair.

I am not shure how you justify $250.00 being a better deal than $140.00 for start batteries.

CC changed somewhere along the line. My manual says I have 2 8D AGM starting batteries but it came with four 925 CCA no maintenance ones. Replaced them last year with one's on sale at the CAT dealer. Still have troubles turning the engine over at times. Have a new Denso starter ready to install.

I believe the OP can only use groupe 31 start batteries.

Not saying it is. Just another option. If the OP can actually get the $69 batteries obviously a good deal.

i have used the reconditioned batteries a lot...like at interstate you ask them to load test them in front of you...most time good but can occasionally get ones that dont test good...and remember the tested batteries did not just come off a charger...price i paid for my london aire was $55 each and that was little less than half..and guaranteed for 6 months.. usually after that it is operated error and not the battery.
